In the rental industry, many add insurance to the rental price.
In Onlet, a dedicated solution has been created for this which can be activated under Settings > Standard registries > Quote/Order:
Insurance per customer group
In "standard registries/customer group" you can register which insurance percentage should be used per customer group.
Activate insurance per group
In the group structure at the last group level, it can be registered whether it should be possible to offer insurance for the group.
Settings for insurance per customer
In the "Contact view" under the "Settings" tab, it is registered whether "Rental insurance" should be the default for this customer. Here the insurance percentage inherited from the customer group can also be overridden for this one customer.
Insurance per order
In the "Order view" under the "Finance" tab, the insurance percentage inherited from the customer appears.
Per rental line, "Insurance" is automatically checked if this is
- Standard on "contact/Settings/Insurance"
- Insurance is offered on this group.
Rules for calculating insurance
Insurance is calculated from the GROSS PRICE (price before discount) see example:
- Gross price NOK 1200,-
- Discount 30%
- Net price 840,-
- Insurance 5% of 1200,- = 60,-
- Total unit price per day = 900,- (840,- + 60,-)
Invoice
On the invoice printout, the insurance is specified on a separate line.
