Before you can enter rental prices at the lowest group level, you must add the desired rental prices under Settings > Standard Registers > the Rental Price tab.
This setup should be done together with an Onlet consultant during the superuser training at startup.
Explanation of the Different Columns
Description: Enter the desired name for the rental price.
Period Type: Specifies whether the rental price is defined by hour, day, month, partial week price, or one-time price.

Explanation of the Different Period Types
Daily Rate
If you use a daily rate, the customer pays an agreed price per day. The day is defined in the rental price setup.
It is important to clarify what time to enter in the From and To fields for the day (and other price types), specifically when a new rental day starts if the customer returns the product(s).
Example:
I have set the day from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. I want the customer to be charged for a new rental day if the product(s) are returned at 8:00 AM or later. I set 0 hours, which means 59 minutes, in the "Max Over End" column. My setup looks like this:
On the order, the customer will pay for 1 day if the product is returned before 8:00 AM the next day:
If the products are returned at 8:00 AM or later, an extra day is charge:
Weekend
If you use the weekend price type, the customer pays an agreed price per weekend. In the rental price setup, the period type must be set to day and min. rental must be set to 3 days. A weekend is often counted from Friday afternoon through Sunday (3 days).
In the price setup for the group, you must enter "Weekend" as a variable (tiered price):
Then enter day tier 4, so you can enter the daily price from day 4 until the rental end.
You enter the daily price in the setup and must divide the weekend price by 3 days. In this example, you enter a daily price of 800 NOK when the price for the entire weekend is 2400 NOK (3 x 800). The daily price from day 4 is set to 1000 NOK.
When the number of days exceeds 3 in the order view, you can click on "Tier" in the "Suggested Price" column to see what you pay in each period/tier:
Fixed Monthly Price
If you use the fixed monthly price type, the customer pays an agreed price per month.
The monthly price period runs from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, so you cannot enter values in these columns in the setup:
Note: Payment-free days are not considered, except in incomplete months where a price type other than fixed monthly price is used.
In the price setup, you must decide whether the customer should pay a daily price (or another price type) for incomplete months or pay full price for incomplete months.
This can be overridden at the order level by clicking on "Setup." Here you can also add payment-free days for incomplete months that may occur at rental start and rental end.
Monthly Price Based on Days
If you need to give the customer payment-free days when using a monthly price, you must use a monthly price based on days. Then you enter days in the period type column. It is also common to enter 30 days as the minimum rental days in the "Min. Rental" column.
Explanation of Minimum Rental:
If you set up a price where, for example, the rental must last a minimum of 30 days, it behaves as follows:
- The first invoice has 30 days to pay, regardless of how many days are in the period.
- The next invoice is credited for any overbilling in the first period. That is, if the first invoice period is 5 days, 25 days are deducted on the next period (30-5).
This means that if a rental lasts less than 30 days, the customer still pays for 30 days.
One-Time Price
A one-time price is an agreed price for the entire rental period that does not take into account the number of days and appears for invoicing only once. The delivery time determines which period a one-time price appears for invoicing.
Hourly Rate
If you use an hourly rate, the rental period is calculated in hours, and it is most common for shorter rental periods.
Variable Weekly Price:
If you use the variable weekly price type, the customer pays an agreed price per week. You can choose whether to ignore hours or not in such a setup. Click the three dots to register the setup.
Here you select the length of the week (5, 6, or 7 days) and the percentage the customer pays on the different days.
