Unique products are used when you want one product in Onlet per unit you have. If you have multiple products of the same type, you must create a new product in Onlet for each unit. If you want a product in Onlet to be able to handle multiple units, you can create a Mass Product instead. Product type is defined on the Product Group.
Product Properties
Rental
Ownership/split: Choose whether the product is owned, cross-hire, or split rental.
The RFI (ready for invoice) rule is important for rental products and determines when the rental cost is activated, either at order, delivery, or return. Most commonly, rental is activated at the status "Delivered" (automatic RFI).
- Owned rental product: select when you own the product. Check for used sale if you want to be able to resell it.
- Cross hire: select when the product is borrowed or rented from another rental company or organization. These are shown with orange color in the Resource Management view.
- Split rental product: select when the rental income is to be shared with a supplier. Select the supplier in the menu (must be marked as "supplier" in the contact card). These are shown with purple color in the Resource Management view.
Second-hand sale
Second-hand sale means the sale of a decommissioned rental product. When used sale is registered, the sale date is recorded, and the product can no longer be rented out. The RFI rule for used sale is also registered.
If you do not want used sale, but only write-off, only check for loss handling.
Sale
Sales products are marked as Sale, and RFI is automatically selected at order or delivery. They can be consumables or new sales of machines and equipment. Sale cannot be combined with Rental product.
Product Info
Under the tab Product Info, you have the option to add multiple fields with information related to the specific product. This makes it easier to gather all relevant information in one place, providing better overview and enabling documentation of important details about the product.
If you check Show on tooltip, the information will be visible in the resource management view.
If there is information to be reused on multiple machines, or if there are details that are mandatory for all machines, you can enter this information globally. This is done under Settings -> Standard Registers -> Product Info. By registering the information here, you ensure it is automatically available for all relevant machines.
Product information added under settings but not intended to be shown globally can be retrieved from the register. This ensures consistent naming of product information and reduces the risk of different terms being used in different places.
